1st post! Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Boots & Bananas

I'm Allison, creator and owner and I'm happy you're here. First I want to tell you a little about myself. I am a 47 year old Gen X'er. I am currently a paraeducator in my local school system. I am a wife and a mom. I have adult, college and middle school age kiddos as well as grandkids!!! I am a dance, stage and hockey mom and many of my items are geared towards the things I love.

Boots & Bananas was started in 2006 when all my friend's wanted hairbows for their kiddos.  I then pulled out my sewing machine and started creating bags which progressed to dresses. Some things changed in 2009, I took a break and got myself a desk job.  I came back to the handmade world after having my 4th baby in 2012.  As my kiddos got older I picked up cross stitching again and started selling finished pieces. Most finished pieces are one of a kind though there are some that I continue to take orders for and restitch. My "Whatever B" unicorn has been redone many times and shipped all over the world.

My newest products are memory items. Stuffies, blankets and pillows made from clothing belonging to your loved ones. My new baby memory items are my favorite and inspired by my inability to let go of the bin of baby clothes taking up closet space. By turning them into something else we can hold onto the memories while freeing up space and clutter.
